Is your hubby tired of walking around with your Juicy Couture or in my case pink Ralph Lauren diaper bag? Well not only is hubby tired of carrying my frilly bag around, personally I think he looks kind of ridiculous. As mommies we get to choose most of the baby "gear". We choose the nursery, the outfits, and frilly diaper bags. The guys over at DadGear have created a stylish and functional alternative to the normal diaper bag. All products are made for dads by dads.

I(hubby) was fortunate enough to receive the Retro Stripe Green Backpack. He LOVES it! He's the outdoors-y kind of guy and these amazing backpacks are so masculine he doesn't mind toting the baby and the bag! There are so many compartments including the quick access wipe case. We have looked at a few other "man packs" and NONE of them have compared to the DadGear Backpack.

If your guy isn't the backpack type, maybe more of the messenger bag dad...don't worry. They have a bag for him too. One of my favorites is the LSU Collegiate Messenger Bag(Hey I'm from Louisiana what can I say?)

As we all know teething is not the most exciting event of a baby or new parents life(trust me my son is driving me CRAZY). The Jeje Therapeutic Teether is the best thing I have found to soothe an upset baby. Doctors are always saying to rub your child's gum with your thumb to bring them relief. Well, The Jeje Therapeutic Teether does just that! It vibrates for seven minutes before it automatically shuts itself off. Do you remember the costumed rock band The Banana Splits? Can't say that I know them since they were around in the 60's(a couple decades before I was thought of), but they are coming back! If they are anything now like they were then, then I would have loved them as little tot. The famous William Hanna and Joseph Barbera hired some of the best voices in the business: Paul Winchell (aka Dick Dastardly) supplied Fleegle's drawl, while Daws Butler (Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound) was the voice of Bingo. Snorky only ever honked but was officially voiced by Don Messick Allan Melvin voiced Drooper, the guitar-playing lion who answered the mail.

This month they are debuting their website www.bananasplit.com. This website is best suited for children ages 4-7. The site features jokes, music, secret codes, fan mail, and more! The jokes include,"Which drink always comes to the rescue....LemonAID!" I know, I know...but for a 4 or 5 year old that is hilarious. If you child has a cute joke they love to tell, they can even call a toll-free number and it might be chosen to be on their site. The music on this site is not your sugary fru fru music..this is REAL music. Not the kind that makes you want to pull your hair out after the 500th time. On September 2nd The Banana Splits will begin appearing on Cartoon Network doing comedy shorts. CARTOON NETWORK...WOW, that's big!

I love the new modern look that seems to have taken over the kids world. Children's rooms are no longer decked out in CareBears...and thank goodness! Nice clean lines is what is in.
